We set anchor on Eleuthera Island (South) A.K.A. Princess Cays. As there is no dock and too shallow for the cruise ship, we had to take a tender to shore. Here we enjoyed some snorkelling, swimming and relaxing under the beach clamshells and had first class service on the beach! Pina Colada anyone?
We ported in St. Maarten on the Dutch side of the island. We went into town to do some shopping and grab some lunch. Afterwards, we took the Golden Eagle Catamaran Tour up the the French side border. We did some snorkelling and swimming, and on our way back to port, I proposed to my fiance! She said yes!
St. Thomas and St. John of the U.S. Virgin Islands. We took an Eco-Hike Tour to St. John via ferry which took us through a portion of the national park and landed us on Honeymoon Beach near Caneel Bay. We spent most of our time in St. John, but came back and caught a cab to St. Thomas for some shopping and site-seeing.
We arrived to Grand Turk/Cockburn Town around 1PM. It was absolutely pouring down rain. We had a mini-boat adventure booked and decided, what's a little rain? We're going to get soaked anyways! Took the mini-boat up to the northern side of the 7 mile island and did some snorkelling near the shelf which abruptly drop from 25 feet to nearly 7,000 feet. Our guide saw a hammerhead shark and made us get out of the water! Went back, shopped and got back on the ship! Good times!
These are some of the misc. shots that didn't necessarily belong in any of the other categories provided, so I put them here! Enjoy some shots from our cruise to the Eastern Caribbean!
The Ancient Bristlecone Pine Trees located on top of the White Mountains in California. Some of these trees are older than 4,000 years and are considered the oldest living thing on earth!
This was taking "No Dogs" Trail to El Moro Canyon back to the parking lot. The trail was listed as "green" or "easy" and was a total of 3.5 miles. The weather was descent and that first hill was a nice little climb.
